Take plenty of pictures
Take advantage of the fact that you have your camera phone with you all the time. Take a lot of photos to make sure you get the shot. Remember, you can always delete the images you don’t want. Some camera phones allow you to use a memory card which makes the image capture capacity of modern mobile phones almost limitless, so shoot away!
Stay close
Get close and fill your camera phone’s display with your subject. Your images will have more impact. As a rule stand about 2-5 feet from your subject.

Eye level is better
Shoot your photos at eye level with your subject. If your shooting a child or your pet stoop down to capture your subject. try to use a plain background. Highlight your subject with a nice clean background, and try to not have unnecessary objects in your photo

Try different angles
Some photos are better as horizontals, like group shots. When you need to, turn your camera phone sideways for the best shot possible.
Set to the highest resolution
Some camera phones allow you to choose the image quality or file size. Select the highest setting. This will ensure that you get the best image quality that the camera phone can produce.

Many camera phones have cool features, like the ability to shoot in black and white. Using the photos you take in conjunction with caller ID features and changing the background images on your phone. Take advantage of these fun features.
Be courteous and legal
Ask permission before snapping a strangers photo. Certain places, like airport security check points don’t allow photos.
Use your regular camera when necessary
Camera phones are great for capturing unexpected moments. Remember that for the most part, you won’t get the best quality or be able to make good prints of photos taken on your camera phone. Use your regular digital or film camera if quality is an issue.
